I think every video game perv has spent time ogling the assets of Lara Croft, almost like a rite of passage.
For some console gamers the original Tomb Raider was their first taste of virtual sex appeal. Sadly, today Crystal Dynamics announced their intent to make us gaming pervs wait longer for our next fix.
The upcoming Tomb Raider reboot joins the growing list of recently delayed high profile games. Via a post on the official community forum, Crystal Dynamics detailed their decision to delay the game to 2013. The extra development time is intended to be used in the refinement of the game to make it the best experience possible. With the recent announcement by publisher Square Enix that their profit margins are doing excellent, it looks like Crystal Dynamics is being given free reign to pursue providing a quality experience.
The new appearance of Lara is one thing that does not need extra development time in my opinion. Her new slim, athletic form is sure to win over fans new and old. Some may lament the step away from the big breasted sexpot nature of the original design, but I feel that the rebooted Ms. Croft will fit into new fantasizes quite nicely.
