The NSFW Gamer Podcast Episode 17

The NSFW Gamer Podcast Episode 6

In this episode of The NSFW Gamer Podcast Jeff and I talk about Amazon purchasing Double Helix, SoulCalibur: Lost Swords, the Flappy Bird phenomenon, Titanfall, PS Vita Slim coming to the US, Borderlands 2 DLC, Anna Cherry’s latest cosplay set, and LEGO porn. ‘Nuff said!

On a side note: I don’t know what happened, but the sound is kinda low on Jeff’s end. It could have been one of the mic settings got messed up, I’m not sure. Either way, my bad.

As far as Killer Instinct goes, you don’t buy the character you want, at least I’ve never heard that. You buy the game for $20 and you get all the characters that it comes with plus any of the season 1 characters that have released or will release. The free to play allows you access to one character that changes every month now.

Staying on the topic of KI, the Double Helix being bought up really puts the future of KI in jeopardy. One possible outcome is that the new developers try to change the way it plays with season 2, shoehorn it in with season 1, and just completely fuck up the game for everyone. On the flip side, the new developers could realize that KI as it is now works fine and they don’t want to screw it up so they stick with the model and stay true to DH’s vision of KI. If you want more detail I highly recommend watching Maximilian Dood’s vlog and his take on the whole thing. I’ll post a link. He’s a huge fan of KI, and had even been invited to the DH studio a few times while the game was still in development. He’s also damn good at the game if you watch his Week Of videos.

Borderlands 2 already has a Game of the Year edition which I own. Not much else to say about that.

Wonder Boy reference, nice. Anyway, I like how Jeff compares Titanfall, developed by former members of Infinity Ward, to Halo. That’s a first.

Corey, I miss you asking us questions on facebook. Maybe it’s because you got tired of reading my long posts, I dunno.

About the podcast, I like everything. I don’t really dislike anything about it. I know it’s not very constructive but I don’t know what else to say. And I’m cool with you mentioning stuff that’s been recently posted on the site because it might be something I just skimmed over and didn’t really checkout, like it didn’t catch my eye, and then on the podcast you’ll mention it and I’ll think, “oh, I should go check that out. That sounds cool.” Like the Lego thing. I seen something about it on facebook but didn’t think much of it. Oh, Legos, whatever. Then you talked about it and now I’m going to go look through it after the podcast is over because you made it sound interesting.

Something I would like to see are some links on the NSFW site posted in the description of the podcast. Maybe even links to stuff you cut from the podcast itself that we might find interesting to read about.

Corey, I hit you up about a year ago already. I gave Jeff the sympathy friend request. I should get Payday 2 so I can join this little NSFW Gamer Payday group activity. It’s not like you’ve made any progress with your GTA Online character. I’ve seen the little bastard, standing there with his perpetual rank of 2. Poor guy.

I agree with Noah, I miss the facebook questions. It’s why I signed up and liked the page, and you abruptly quit. Am I bad luck?

Expanding on the NSFW Gamer news would be great. Maybe give a little more of your opinion on a piece, or just generally reiterate what you thought. And I’m never hurt by getting a nod for anything I’ve written 😀
