Rockstar Giving Players $500,000 In GTA Online

Rockstar Giving Players $500,000 In GTA Online

Rockstar has been hard at work fixing all the bugs that have plagued GTA Online since it launched a couple weeks ago, but they aren’t stopping with patches.

As an apology to the fans, Rockstar announced today that they will be giving players $500,000 to use in the game for free. All you have to do to qualify for the moneys is play GTA Online at some point during the month of October and download the 1.04 patch. That’s it. They’ll automatically transfer two deposits of $250,000 to your bank account once you meet that simple criteria.

It’s nice to see that Rockstar cares about its fans this much, I wish other companies would follow suit when they release something as broken as GTA Online (I’m looking at you, Gearbox).

Hell yeah, that’s awesome! I can buy some cars I want sooner. Try convincing some (not all, just some) of the idiots on GameFAQS that Rockstar cares though. Seriously, some people refuse to understand how difficult it is to code online games. Some actually think it could have been fixed in a day with all the money they made from the game. *facepalm*

Holy moly! That’s pretty amazing. I don’t play GTA games because I never finish them, but LA Noire and Red Dead Redemption were two of the best games I’ve played this gen. Rock on, Rockstar!
