Let’s say you’re one of the two women who read this site, or more likely, one of the men who wants your lady to dress up like that certain special video game character who first made you weak in the pants.

Have no fear, but pay close attention: we are here to help!

Halloween is today (as of this writing, thanks to HurriCunt Sandy if you are reading this a little late) but that doesn’t mean you can’t use this for a Guy Fawkes Day party or a general outline of how to go about creating a proper game-inspired costume as well as presenting it to your girlfriend/boyfriend – we’re all porn fiends and gamers here regardless of who we fuck.

Now, let’s get sexed up!

Be A Gamer. No Arguments.

You want to know why Jessica Nigri has almost 200,000 likes on Facebook and another 63,000 followers on Twitter? I’m sure a certain chunk of them is because she is blonde and well-endowed in the chest area, but a majority of her fans like the fact that not only is she attractive, she is first and foremost a gamer and geek. When she isn’t hitting the conventions and doing shoots, she is playing games, watching anime and reading comics and manga.

I cannot tell you what a fucking turnoff it is to see photos of some broad who obviously doesn’t even know how to properly hold a controller, never mind referring to Link as Zelda or telling us how awesome a job Alicia Silverstone did as Batgirl. If you or your girl doesn’t play games, I have nothing against you. Just don’t make an ass of yourself when you squeeze into the black mage outfit and can’t tell us a few basic spells to cast in most Final Fantasy games. Speaking of…

I don’t know who told the people above that they were pulling off Lara Croft and Kratos, but they either need new friends or actual friends. Look, beauty and sexiness comes in all shapes and sizes. I sure as hell don’t want every attractive person out there looking like they are 10 years old and in desperate need of a slab of meat, but we all need to be realistic about our bodies. At present, I am six feet tall and weight 180 pounds. No way in hell would I be trying for Chris Redfield’s ultra-roided physique; I would be much better suited for Leon S. Kennedy.

If you really think I am being an asshole when it comes to physical expectations, below are perfect examples of a bigger girl pulling it off. So shut the fuck up.

Customization is Okay

Creating a costume for Halloween, a convention or a sexy night in bed is not only fun, it’s an artistic expression that should allow for a bit of creative freedom. Not only will you run in to cases where some corners need to be cut because of a lack of availability or you just can’t find it, sometimes we like to just take a costume and make it our own.

For the sake of this point, I’ll be spotlighting different takes on Ada Wong. As you can see in the first photo, Yaya Han has recreated Ada’s dress from Resident Evil 4 about as perfectly as you can. Even the stitching of the butterflies matches the color used in the game.

Leen Isabel’s take on Ada incorporates the same idea; however, the design for the stitching is clearly different. Contrary to what trolls on the internet will tell you, there is nothing wrong with this.

Finally, while Yuki’s dress design is not clearly visible, and while she seems to be lacking any gun holsters, her hair design and makeup capture the mysterious aura that has always surrounded Ada throughout her entire existence in the Resident Evil universe.

So, there you have it: a quick and easy guide to what works and what doesn’t work when it comes to cosplaying. Be comfortable with yourself as long as you also know yourself, and you shouldn’t have any problem taking on whatever persona you know will fit you best. When you start getting groped by strangers at conventions, you know you’ve done your homework.
