Lollipop Chainsaw Valentine Editions Announced

At this point I think it is a pretty safe bet to declare Lollipop Chainsaw as a hit.

The game has sold over 700,000 copies worldwide, inspired cosplayers to take up the tried and true classic cheerleader outfit, and even received its own porn parody.

The only thing left would be for the game to get its own show/anime, have a sequel announced, and receive annual reissues in the form of special editions.

With that said, guess what fans have to look forward to next Valentines day!

Not only will Valentines day see the re-release of the limited premium edition version of the game, but the release of a special Valentine Edition as well that includes some goodies hardcore fans will love.

In addition to the flashy box art and Valentine themed manga; the Valentine Edition comes with all the premium edition content to include the perfect unlock codes for the console specific bonus costumes (cutie maid for PS3 and sexy rider for Xbox 360).

The deal gets sweeter with desktop wallpapers and a Juliet desktop clock app. While the promo videos and in-games movies may appeal to some, I think the real heart of this edition will be the photos of Jessica Nigri and Kawamoto Mayu; the official Juliet Startling cosplayers.

A North American release has not been announced and it seems unlikely. The premium edition is based off the North American version of the game and included costumes and violence that was removed from the standard edition release in Japan. Thus the Valentine themed content would be the only things new to us. I will keep my figures crossed and hope they throw in a copy of the porn parody as well.
