You guys have heard me say this probably a million times now, but since it pertains to this feature I’ll mention it again – I love it when artists thematically re-design established characters.
Sure, that usually means steampunking Star Wars characters or something to that effect, but in the case of TCatt’s Erotic Earth series it means taking pre-existing characters and making their costumes more revealing while still maintaining the overall look and feel of the character. Trust me, it’s as awesome as it sounds.
I’m sure some of you have already seen a lot of these pics, TCatt has been around for a while and so has his Erotic Earth series. For those of you that are new to the whole thing I included a quote from the artist explaining the idea behind the series. Give it a quick read then check out the gallery below. Not a bad way to spend the day after Saint Patrick’s Day, especially if you’re hung over like I am.
Not Safe For Work ~ Hentai
I began the Erotic Earth Project in 2007 on the email forum groups CattHouse Comerotica Corner, Erotic-Artist-Workshop [now defunct], and Erotic-Comics-Cartoons. The concept is to redesign popular characters as if they existed or were created in a hyper-sexualized world without sexual morés and very few taboos; where everyone is beautiful, healthy and horny and the public exposure of one’s “happy parts” (ignoring the logical problems that entails) is the social norm. During the year, members of the groups designed and posted their own EE versions of their favorite characters and at the end of the year, a poll was held to determine the year’s winner for “Design of the Year.” The prize for winning was a rendering of the winning costume by yours truly.
The project has been popular, but participation has waned since its inception, leading me to conclude the project in that format as of Feb 2012. At that time, an Erotic Earth Project group was created here on DeviantArt and the project officially opened to all DA members! I encourage you to check it out and participate!
