February 12th can’t get here fast enough. I’m dying with anticipation.
Granted, I’ve waited 26 years for this game so I guess I can wait wait a few more weeks but this new story trailer is definitely making it harder.
Wanna hear something truly insane? I already have the whole thing planned out. Read about it after the jump…or just watch the trailer.
Ok, here’s my plan. I call it “Operation Childhood Dream of Being A Colonial Marine (Kind Of) Realized.”
I ordered the Aliens: Colonial Marines Collector’s Edition from Amazon Prime so it will arrive on the 12th but I am not going to play it until my birthday, the 15th. Obviously this will be the hardest part of my master plan. I’ll have to use every ounce of self control I have.
Then I’m going to work my ass off on the 12th and 13th adding posts for each website I run so I don’t have to work on the 14th or the 15th. That’ll keep me pretty busy and hopefully distracted enough to not play the game.
The 14th is Valentine’s Day so obviously there won’t be any video game playing that day.
Then the 15th is my birthday. It’s going to be Colonial Marines all day long. I am going to wake up and watch Aliens (the movie) at 9am while my friend in MD watches it at noon. He’s just as much an Aliens fan as I am and since we can’t watch it together it will be the next best thing. Once the movie ends we are going to both pop in Aliens: Colonial Marines, fire up the campaign for the first time and it will be glorious!
Obviously I’ve put waaaaaaaaaaay too much thought into this but what do you expect from the guy that runs the Sgt. Apone Facebook Fanpage? Let me know if you are as excited for Aliens: Colonial Marines as I am in the comments below.
